Seoul Petlympic 2026: Dates, Schedule, How to Go
Checked Oct 11, 2026

Seoul Petlympic (서울펫림픽) is a dog-sports festival at Peace Plaza (평화광장) in World Cup Park, Seoul, on Saturday Oct 24 and Sunday Oct 25, 2026. You can go and watch without a dog: the official FAQ says people who don't keep a dog, and people who aren't competing, can watch the matches and join the booths. Entering a contest is another matter. Every Petlympic event and dog-sport contest is online sign-up only, first come first served, and sign-up began on Sept 14. The fee is 40,000 won per event. The nearest station is World Cup Stadium (월드컵경기장역), Line 6, Exit 1.
I don't have a dog, so I can't enter. I keep a cat. A while ago I went to Daegwallyeong and saw a herding dog working sheep. It was so smart and so quick that I thought it might do better than a person. My cat is a rare "walking cat" and has to go out of the apartment once a day for some fresh air. So I think watching dogs run would be great fun, and I went looking for the timetable.
This guide is what I found on the organizer's pages and in Seoul city's press release, which are in Korean. I did not see an English page on the official site.

When and where is Seoul Petlympic 2026?
It runs on Saturday Oct 24 and Sunday Oct 25, 2026 at Peace Plaza in World Cup Park. Seoul city's press release of Oct 1, 2026 gives the same dates and place. This is the second year, according to Edaily and Newspim reports on the city's announcement. The organizer is the Korea Agility Association (한국어질리티연합), and its phone is 0502-1949-0514.
The official timetable has Saturday starting at 7:00 with a charity marathon (함께하는 사랑밭 마라톤 대회) and ending at 18:00, and Sunday running from 9:00 to 17:00.

What can I watch, and when?
The official schedule page lists these. Times are Korea time (KST). If you only have one visit, the invitational on Saturday at 14:00 and the flyball on Sunday at 15:00 are single one-hour slots.

| Day | Time | What |
|---|---|---|
| Sat Oct 24 | 7:00–11:00 | Charity marathon (함께하는 사랑밭 마라톤 대회) |
| Sat | 10:00–12:00 | Agility contest, beginner class |
| Sat | 11:00–13:00 | Dog dance contest |
| Sat | 13:00–14:00 | Opening ceremony |
| Sat | 14:00–15:00 | Agility, national team invitational |
| Sat | 14:00–17:00 | Petlympic events "stay" and "slalom" |
| Sat | 15:00–17:00 | Agility contest, novice class |
| Sat | 17:00–18:00 | Pettiquette golden bell quiz, awards, prize draw |
| Sun Oct 25 | 9:00–13:00 | Seoul frisbee contest |
| Sun | 13:00–15:00 | Freestyle contest |
| Sun | 13:00–16:00 | Petlympic events "sprinter" and "recall" |
| Sun | 15:00–16:00 | Flyball contest |
| Sun | 16:00–17:00 | Pettiquette golden bell quiz, awards, prize draw |
Agility is a course the dog and its handler run together, with the dog going over jumps and through tunnels and weave poles. Flyball is a relay where the dog jumps hurdles, grabs a ball and comes back; the official program says it is hard to see in Korea. Newspim reports that main matches are shown on a big LED screen with commentary.

What can I do there without entering a contest?
The all-day programs run on both days. The official program page lists a Pettiquette5 Challenge in the lounge zone, where you can join on the spot. It has five missions, COME, WAIT, WALK, HOUSE and GRAB, with a badge for each one the dog completes. The booths include face painting and water tattoos, a vet for health advice and rehab, making souvenirs, dog-sports style profile photos, and training in dog CPR and first aid.
The FAQ warns that some booths can have a wait or close early. The lounge zone is a place to rest, and the site advises resting well if the dog is panting before moving to the next activity.

How do I enter a contest?
You sign up online, first come first served. Seoul city's press release says sign-up opened on Monday Sept 14, and the official FAQ says the Petlympic events and the dog-sport contests have no on-site sign-up. The slots were opened event by event, so remaining places can only be seen on the official site.
| Event | Places | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Petlympic, 4 events: stay (기다려), come (이리와), cone S-weave, 15 m team run | 100 teams per event, 400 in all | 40,000 won per event |
| Dog Trail: a walk of about 4 km with your dog, Sun 10:00–12:00 | 400 teams | 40,000 won |
| Amateur agility | 60 teams | Not in my sources |
| Frisbee | 40 teams per category | Not in my sources |
| Flyball | 8 teams | Not in my sources |
The sign-up pages are in Korean, and I could not find what the forms ask for, such as a dog registration number or an ID. If you want to compete as a visitor, call the organizer on 0502-1949-0514 before planning around it. The city says it put practice videos online so owners can train at home.
How do I get to Peace Plaza?
Take Line 6 to World Cup Stadium Station and use Exit 1, toward Peace Park (평화의공원). The official directions say to cross at the crosswalk on the Mapo Agro-Fishery Market side and walk about 10 to 15 minutes to Peace Plaza. The bus stop is called Mapo Agro-Fishery Market · World Cup Park (마포농수산물시장·월드컵공원).
If you plan to drive, the Peace Park car park charges 300 won per 10 minutes for a car, and the organizer expects it to be crowded or full on event days and recommends public transport. For a transit card first, see T-money vs Climate Card vs WOWPASS.

If you bring a dog, a leash and poop bags are required, and the FAQ recommends water, snacks and a portable bowl. On rain, the FAQ says a light rain can leave some programs running, and heavy rain or wind can change the times or cancel some. Check the official notice on the morning.

What else is on in that park that week?
The Seoul Silver Grass Festival at Haneul Park, in the same World Cup Park, runs Oct 17 to 23, the week before. My guide to it is here: Seoul Silver Grass Festival 2026 at Haneul Park. Petlympic is one of three events in Seoul's 2026 Animal Happiness Week (서울동물행복위크): the Seoul Animal Happiness Festa (Oct 17 and 18, Yeouido Hangang Park, in front of the Mulbit Stage) and Daengnyang Days (Oct 31, Cultural Reserve Base T2, 문화비축기지). For all October events in Seoul, see Seoul and Busan festivals, Oct 12–31.

Exit 1 of World Cup Stadium Station on Line 6, then about 10 to 15 minutes on foot toward Peace Plaza.

Time changes and spectator prices
I haven't been to a Petlympic, so this is a read of the official pages and not a field report. I'll check the organizer's pages before Oct 24 for time changes and any spectator price, and fix this page if something moves.
